1 stick butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. lemon or orange rind
2 cups chopped nuts
1 1/2 tsp vanilla butternut flavoring
1 tbls. anise seed

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together thoroughly. Make 2 or 3 rolls. and refrigerate. Pat our each roll and put on cookie sheet. Bake in 325šoven until light brown. Cut,lay on side and put back in oven and toast until light brown.Repeat for the other side.
