Directions:
Put all ingredients into HEAVY deep saucepan. Cook slowly, stirring gently but constantly until mixture forms a very stiff ball in cold water. The caramel, when cold will be the same consistancy. I find this takes about 10 minues of boiling. Then place pan in hot water to keep caramel soft while dipping apples. Place apples on buttered wax paper or dish. Roll in nuts if you want.

Personal Notes:
We used to have fun making these when you were little. The caramel gets really hot but dripping the left over caramel off the spoon into little spoonsized drops were great to peel off and eat cuz they cool quickly! Be sure and butter the wax paper!
