2 1/2 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2/3 C soft butter or margarine
1 3/4 C sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 C sifted cake flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 C ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla till fluffy. Beat 5 minutes at high speed. Blend in cooled chocolate.

Sift in flour, soda and salt and add to creamed mixture alternately with ice water beating well after each addition.

Bake in 2 paper lined pans in 350º oven for 30-35 minutes.

Frost cooled cake with chocolate satin frosting.
