Brownies:
1 stick margarine
1/4 C cocoa
1 C water
1/2 C liquid shortening
2 C flour
2 C sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Icing:
1 stick margarine
1/4 C cocoa
1/3 C buttermilk
1 box powdered sugar (1lb)
1 C chopped pecans
1 tsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Brownies: Combine margarine, cocoa, water, shortening, in saucepan; bring to a boil.
Mix flour, sugar, salt in bowl. Pour margarine mixture over flour-sugar mixture. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla to mixture. Beat well. Pour into greased and lightly floured 11x16x1 pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400º. Remove from oven and top with icing while cake is still hot.
Icing: Melt margarine. Add cocoa and buttermilk. Blend in powdered sugar, stirring until smooth. Add chopped nuts with milk. Blend well. Spread over hot brownies.
