1/4 lb bacon
1 lb hamburger
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 onions
6 carrots
6 potatoes
1 C water

Directions:
Directions:
Cover bottom of large pot with bacon strips. Add hamburger, salt and pepper. Cover hamburger with 2 onions, sliced. Slice 3 carrots and layer next; then 3 sliced potatoes. Repeat layers.

Turn burner on under pot to medium heat. Listen carefully- when bacon begins to crackle, add water.

Cover tightly, turn down heat to simmer and cook for about 1 hour- until meat is done and veggies are tender.
