1 pastry crust for deep-dish 9" pie
1/2 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
6 c. apples, peeled and thinly sliced

Crumb topping
1c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 jar caramel ice cream topping

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together brown sugar, flour and oats. Cut in butter until topping is like course crumbs.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, stir together sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Add apples and gently toss until coated. Put in pie shell and sprinkle with crumb topping. Place pie on cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 350º oven for 50-60 minutes. If pie crust gets too dark on edges, cover with foil.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped pecans and drizzle with ice cream topping.
