Cake:
2 c flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking sode
1/2 t salt
6 eggs- separated
1 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 c water
1 t Almond extract

Milk Syrup:
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 c whipping cream
2 t Vanilla
1/2 c white corn syrup

Topping:
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
1/4 c powdered sugar
1 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients; Beat egg white until frothy; Add sugar gradually, until stiff.

Add egg yolks, 1 at a time, beat well; Add flour mixture, water and flavor.

Mix on slow speed until well mixed.

Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, until done.

Cool. Pierce cake all over with a fork.

Syrup: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk together. Bring to boil, whisking all the time. Pour over cold cake, 1 cup at a time, letting it absorb into the cake between additions. Cover and chill overnight.

Topping: Beat cream until stiff. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over top of cake. May top with shredded coconut.
