1 loaf French bread
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
2 tbsp. corn syrup
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cook brown sugar, butter and corn syrup together in a sauce pan until blended. Put syrup mixture in bottom of 9" x 13" baking dish. Slice French bread loaf into 1/2" slices. Line bottom of baking pan with the slices of bread. Whip the eggs, milk and vanilla in a separate bowl. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and bake carefully for 30 - 35 minutes. Invert and turn the dish upside down to serve.
This will allow the syrup mixture to be on top.
