Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 lbs. stewing beef
Onion flakes
Garlic flakes
1 can white onions
1 can small whole mushrooms
1 can small whole potatoes
1 can whole or sliced carrots
Salt. pepper, thyme
Catsup
Parsley
1-2 beef boullion cubes
Lots of dry red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Coat the cubed beef in flour by placing both in a paper bag and
shaking. Brown the meat on all sides along with the garlic and
onion flakes. Add the juice from the cans of veggies. Add salt
and pepper, a little thyme, and a slug of catsup, some parsley,
and a couple cubes of boullion and lots and lots of dry red wine.
Place in a 350º oven and bake for 4-5 hours checking every
now and then to see that the juice hasn't boiled down. If it has,
add water and a boullion cube. Toward the last 15 minutes, add
the mushrooms, onions, potatoes, and carrots. You could, of
course, use fresh veggies, but then this wouldn't be EASY beef
stew, and you'd have to add the veggies earlier, like maybe 45
minutes. Same goes for using fresh garlic and onions when
browning the beef.
