This elegant dessert must be chilled 4 hours.
3/4 c. sugar
1 pkg.. unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. water, cold
1 c. whipping cream or half and half
1 1/2 sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. strawberries, frozen, or fresh berries mashed and sweetened

This is an elegant desert. Blend together the sugar and gelatin in a small pan. Add cold water and mix well. Let stand 5 minutes then bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Remove sugar mixture from heat and pour in the whipping cream. In a bowl, mix the sour cream with the vanilla, then gradually beat in the hot sugar mixture. Pour into your classiest big bow, cover and chill until set, at least 4 hours or as long as overnight. Clump chilled strawberries on top just before serving.
