Directions:
In heavy sauce pan or frying pan bring to boil 1 part butter (real butter) and 2 parts sugar.
i.e.: 1 C. butter to 2 C. sugar

Boil until toffee color. Remove from heat, stir in 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour over finely chopped almonds (pecans good too) laid out on jelly roll pan. Immediately cover top of hot layer with chocolate chips. Allow to sit on hot mix for 1-2 minutes, then spread melted chocolate chips evenly across toffee layer and sprinkle extra fine chopped nut “powder” on top of chocolate. Allow to set up, then break into serving size pieces.
