1/2 C. Shortening 2 3/4 C. Flour
1 1/2 C. Sugar 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 Eggs 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 C. Sour Cream 1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla 1 C. Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly eggs, shortening and sugar. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Fold in walnuts.
Chill 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400º. Drop by rounded teaspoonful about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes until light brown.

These are soft, cake-like cookies that taste delicious as is or with a
