1 1/2 T cornstarch
1/4 to 1/3 c brown sugar
1/2 c cold water
4 c sweetened sliced peaches
1 T butter
1 T lemon juice
Biscuit Topper:
1 c flour
1 T sugar
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1/4 c butter
1/4 c milk
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first three ingredients. Add peaches. Cook and stir until thickened. Add butter and lemon juice. Pour into a baking dish. Make Topper: Sift together the all purpose flour, sugar. baking powder and salt. Cut in the butter until like course crumbs. Mix mild and slightly beaten egg.Add all at once to dry ingredients, stiring just to moisten. Drop by spoonful on hot fruit. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes.
