Cowboy Stew Recipe

Ingredients:  
1-1/2 lb ground beef or turkey
1-2 onions
garlic minced
1 lg can of beans (VandyCamp or similar)
taco seasoning
1 small can Boston Baked Bean (br sugar & bacon)

2 cans diced tomatoes

2 cans diced green chilies

1 jar salsa

¼ cup BBQ sauce

Season w/ oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.

Directions:
Directions:
Brown 1-1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey; drain fat. Add taco seasoning and simmer about 5 minutes. Put mixture in crock pot.

Sauté one or two onion(s) and minced garlic until tender and caramelize with 2 tbsp sugar and brown. Add to crock pot.

Add to crock pot the following:

1 lg can of beans (VandyCamp or similar)

1 small can Boston Baked Bean (br sugar & bacon)

2 cans diced tomatoes

2 cans diced green chilies

1 jar salsa

¼ cup BBQ sauce

Season w/ oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.

Simmer in crock pot for at least 2 hrs.

Serve with warm tortillas and cheese.

Refrigerate or freeze leftovers
