2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c melted lard or shortening
1 c molasses
1 c hot water
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
flour to roll

Directions:
Directions:
Put your baking soda in the hot water and stir to mix. Combine all ingredients. Add enough flour so its thick enough to roll. Roll out on flour surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Try not to use to much flour. It makes cookies hard. Bake at 350º until brown. You have to check after 8-10 minutes. After you have checked it once you will know just about how long to bake them.
