1/2 c. butter
6 Tbsp. granulated sugar
6 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/8 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend 1/2 cup butter (or shortening) with 6 Tbsp. granulated supar and 6 Tbsp. brown sugar. Add one egg, beaten whole. Add 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 1/2 cups sifted flour and 1/2 tsp. salt which have been mixed together. Add a few drops of hot water. Mix together until well blended. Lastly, add 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1 cup chocolate chips. Flavor wtih 1/2 tsp. vanilla and drop by half teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10 to 12 minutes.
