1 tsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. water
1-lb pkg. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
8-oz. jar smooth peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornstarch and water; set aside. Dissolve sugars with milk and butter in a heavy saucepan. Heat until candy thermometer reaches the soft ball stage or 235º. Stir in cornstarch mixture and remove from heat; it will appear lumpy. Blend in vanilla and peanut butter; pour into an 8"x8" buttered pan. Cool completely.
