Ingredients: 1 lb. ground beef 1 onion, chopped 1/4 c. butter 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. pepper 8-oz. can mushrooms, drained 10 3/4-oz. can cream of golden mushroom soup 1 1/2 c. sour cream 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce 12 oz. pkg. fine egg noodles, cooked Parsley for garnish

Directions:Saute ground beef and onion in a large skillet with butter; drain. Stir in flour, salt, garlic powder, pepper and mushrooms; heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add soup; simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream and Worcestershire sauce; heat throughly. Spoon over warm noodles to serve. Sprinkle with parsley. |

Notes: Both my mother and Mom Walker prepared meals with hamburger much of the time when we were growing up. The times were hard and hamburger meat went a long ways for big families. This is a recipe I love to prepare when the weather turns chilly and it reminds me of those delicious meals at my in-laws when I would visit during high school. . .
