2 c flour
1 1/2 c sugar
1 T cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp salt
1/2 c shortening
2 c applesauce
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1 c raisins

Topping

1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped walnuts
2 T brown sugar
Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl combine dry ingredients. Add shortening, applesauce and eggs. Beat until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips, walnuts and raisins. Pour into greased 13 in x 9 in baking pan. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes or until cake tests done.
