Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cans Borden's condensed milk.
4 eggs.
6 ounces milk (regular or skim)
1 tsp. vanilla.

For the caramel:
1 cup sugar.
1T water.

Directions:
Directions:
Beat with a hand mixer the 2 cans of milk, eggs, milk and vanilla. Set aside.

For the caramel: Put sugar and water in a pan at medium heat until melted and golden brown. You don't need to stir. Carefully, transfer into your flan dish (I use a Pyrex pie pan). It will harden immediately. Pour your milk batter on top of the caramel and put it in the oven at 350º F over a pan with 1 or 1 1/2 inches of water for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until set. Let cool. Run a knife around the edge, put a plate on top and invert. The caramel will be on top. You can decorate with strawberries. It is very rich and sweet. Serve small portions.

Personal Notes:
Abuela used to make the best flan. Of course, if you want something to taste and look delicious, not only you have to be a good cook/baker but you also have to have the touch, the time, motivation and desire. WELL, I HAD NONE OF THOSE!

So, shortcuts, shortcuts, shortcuts. This flan doesn't taste like abuelas, doesn't take 3 hours, but my kids loved it, so I hope you all will too! Tadaa!
