3 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup enriched self-rising flour
1 can (14 0z.) sweetened condensed milk



Topping:
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can of flaked coconut
1 cup of chopped nuts
1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
2 tbsp. of butter
2 tbsp. of milk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate and butter in top of double boiler over hot but not boiling water. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add flour to butter and chocolate mixture. Stir until well blended. Add condensed milk. Pour in greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350º oven for 35 minutes. Spread German topping evenly over cake. Return to oven and broil about 6 inches from heat until frosting becomes bubbly.

To make the Topping:
Mix all ingredients together over low heat until bubbly.
