1 c. sugar
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. butter
3/4 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
3 to 4 quarts of puffed rice cereal

Directions:
Directions:
Put sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt in pan and cook, stirring until the sugar is dissolved and starts to boil.Continue cooking without stirring until syrup forms a hard ball in cold water. Add vanilla, stirring to mix in. Coloring may be added during the cooking of syrup. Pour over puffed rice and mix until all is coated. form into balls the size desired. Let cool to serve
