1 pkg. white cake mix
1 can or 1 lb., 5 oz cherry pie filling
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
1/2 c. or 1 stick melted butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Spread pie filling in bottom of a 9-inch square pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine dry cake mix, nuts and melted butter (mixture will be crumbly). Sprinkle over pie filling.
Bake at 350º for 40 to 50 minutes until golden brown. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

Note: Use 2 cans pie filling in a 9"x13" pan with 1 cake mix.
