1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. milk
2 c. chopped raw apple
1 c. nuts, chopped
VANILLA GLAZE:
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 T. butter, melted
1 1/2 T. hot milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the butter, spices and sugar. Add the egg and beat until light and fluffy. Add flour, soda and milk and mix thoroughly. Fold in apples and nuts.
Drop spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes in 400 degree oven.
Remove and spread while still warm with vanilla glaze.
To make the glaze, heat the milk and butter in microwave oven. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
