1 C butter or shortening
1 1/2 C brown sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1 C sour milk (1 tsp soda in milk)
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 C flour
1 grated orange rind



Frosting:
1 1/2 tsp orange juice
1 well-beaten egg yolk (may be left out)
1 grated orange rind
powdered sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter/shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs, sour milk, and vanilla. Stir in flour and grated orange rind. Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheets and bake 7-10 mins at 350º.

For frosting, beat all ingredients until smooth and frost cookies when cooled.
