2 Cans Petit Pois(tiny early June Peas)
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 small to medium onion
3 Teaspoons sugar
2 cups water.
Black pepper and salt.

Directions:
Directions:
Make roux (heat oil and flour and cook until golden brown or caramel color). Add onions and smother until translucent. Drain 1 can peas and add to pot,
add the second can to pot without draining.
Add water, sugar, & salt and pepper to taste.
Cook until peas become dented and the desired thickness.
