4 Cups Sliced Fresh Strawberries
1 ¾ Cup Sugar
1 ½ Envelopes Unflavored Gelatin
1 ½ Tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
Dash of Salt
½ Tsp. Red Food Coloring
1 10-inch Angel Food Cake (trimmed of dark crust and cut into 1-inch cubes)
2 Cups Whipped Cream Topping

Directions:
Place strawberries in a bowl. Stir in 1 cup sugar and let sit at room temperature until they are juicy (about 1 hour). Drain the strawberries, reserving 2 cups of strawberry juice. (If there are not 2 cups of juice, add water.) Stir gelatin into juice. Slowly heat the juice but do not boil. When the gelatin is completely dissolved, add salt, food coloring, lemon juice and remaining sugar. Let the mixture cool until it starts to thicken. Fold in the angel food cake, whipped cream topping, and half the strawberries. Starting and finishing with the mixture layer the mixture with the remaining strawberries in a glass bowl. Chill at least six hours or overnight. Serve with additional strawberries.
