1 c. butter, softened
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped slivered almonds
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the butter and about 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon peel and juice together until soft and creamy, about 2 minutes.
Mix flour, almonds and salt together and slowly beat into the sugar and butter mixture.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheet about and inch apart. Bake in 400º oven for 9 to 10 minutes or until slightly brown on bottom, cool for about 5 to 10 minutes and then roll them in remaining powdered sugar. Before serving, sprinkle with remaining
