1 pkg. German choc. cake mix
1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. Wesson© oil
1, 14-oz can Borden© milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 lb. package caramels

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cake mix, margarine, water, oil & 1/2 can condensed milk in mixing bowl. Mix well. Pour 2/3 cake mix into prepared jelly roll pan. Bake at 350º for 20-25 min.

Melt & mix together caramels and remaining condensed milk over low heat until smooth. Spread over baked cake layer. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Cover with remaining batter. Return to oven and bake an additional 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool completely. Spread with frosting:

1/2 c. margarine
3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
6 Tbsp. milk
1, 16 oz. box powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter, cocoa, & milk in small saucepan. Melt over low heat. Remove from heat and beat in powdered sugar & vanilla until smooth. Spread on cake immediately.
