1 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375
Cream butter, sugar, eggs together
Add the rest of ingredients
Mix well
Refrigerate for 1 hour
Roll out and use desired cutter
Bake at 375 for 6 to 8 minutes

This recipe has been in the family for years and these are the best sugar cookies you'll ever eat! Find a suitable cookie cutter and make these for any event imaginable.
P.S. They are also great will vanilla frosting! You can dye the frosting to suit the occasion.
