1 c Shortening
1 c Sugar
1 c Molasses
½ c Hot Water
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 Egg
4 c Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Cinnamon
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar and molasses together
Dissolve baking soda in the hot water
Stir hot water into mixture
Add egg to mixture and mix well
Blend in dry ingredients
Chill
Roll out dough ¼ inch thick and cut out into desired share
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
