2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. Crisco©
2/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and turn out onto a floured board. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 350º until golden brown.

This recipe was sent in memory of my namesake, Grandma Goldie Walker.

Be sure to serve these with prepared strawberries and milk.

To keep with the Walker family tradition, these should be served as the main course. Also. . you must eat until your buttons pop!!!

I think every newly initiated spouse of a "Walker" went to dinner thinking there would be "strawberry shortcake" for dessert and found out that it was "the main event!"
