1 c. butter
2 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar (brown or white)
4 T. light Karo syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, mix first 4 ingredients. Bring to boil (use a large pot because it foams), sitrring constantly. Boil for 7 minutes. Stirring longer makes thicker. Remove from heat, add soda and vanilla. You can half this recipe for smaller groups.

Can use with waffles, ice cream, pancakes and especially great with Aunt Mae's scones!
