1 - 29 oz can pear OR peach slices in heavy syrup, undrained
1 - 8oz pkg Cream Cheese
1/4 c Apricot Preserves
2 T Butter - softened
1 - 9oz pkg yellow cake mix
2 T oil
1 egg
1 t ginger

Directions:
Directions:
1. Drain fruit reserving 1/2 c juice. Place fruit on bottom of a 8x8 square pan
2. Beat cream cheese, preserves and butter in small mixing bowl at med speed until well blended; pour over pears
3. Beat cake mix, reserved juice, oil, egg, and ginger in large mixing bowl at med speed until well blended; pour over cream cheese mixture.
4. Bake 35-40 min at 350º or until golden brown. Serve warm...cover with half and half if desired!
