Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe

1 c. light corn syrup
3/4 c. sugar
3 oz. unsweetened chopped chocolate
3 tbsp. butter
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c pecans
1 pie crust

Preheat oven to 350. In a medium size pot, heat the corn syrup and sugar until it boils rapidly. Remove from heat and add chocolate and butter. Let cool.
In a small bowl whisk eggs, vanilla and salt. Put a small amount of the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture to reduce the temperature of the eggs. This will prevent the eggs from scrambling. Then pour all the egg mixture into the chocolate and fold. Add the pecans.
Pour into the prepared pie crust and bake 45 minutes.
Cool completely.
