1 pkg.(8 oz) spaghetti, broken into 2-in pieces
2 T butter
1/3 c grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck(I use 1/2 Italian sausage)
1 med onion, chopped(1/2 c)
1/4 c chopped green pepper
2 T vegetable oil
1 jar (15 1/2 oz) thick spaghetti sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp leaf oregano, crumbled
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 8 oz container cottage cheese(1 c)
1/2 of an 8 oz pkg mozzarella cheese, shredded

1. Cook spaghetti in boililng, salted water and drain. Place in cake pan. Stir in butter, cheese, salt, pepper and egg until combined and spread evenly in pan.
2. Saute meat, onion and green pepper in skillet until meat is browned; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce, sugar, oregano and garlic salt.
3. Spread cottae cheese over spaghetti layer; top w/meat mixture.
4. Bake in 350º oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top and bake 10" more; let stand 15" before cutting.
