1 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped prunes
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup raisins
2 cups boiling water
2 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over fruit. Add butter and soda, stir and let cool. Mix sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla and flour. Add fruit mixture, add nuts and mix well. Bake in 2 greased and floured loaf pans at 350º. Can be frosted if desired.
