1 pkg Betty Crocker German Chocolate Cake Mix
½ c softened margarine
½ c margarine
1 egg
1 c margarine
1/2 c evaporated milk
1 pkg caramels (14 0z)
1/2 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 º
In a medium mixing bowl, mix dry ingredients
Add softened margarine & egg
Mix until crumbly
Set aside 1 1/2 cups
Press mixture into ungreased cake pan
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until dry
Set aside and let cool
Heat remaining margarine, milk & caramels on low heat in a medium saucepan until melted
Pour caramel mixture over cake crust
Crumble the remaining cake mix over the top of melted caramels
Sprinkle on nuts
Bake for 25 minutes
Let cool
