1 1/2 lbs. sirloin steak
1/2 tsp. salt
2 medium onions, chopped (1 c.)
1 c. beef broth
3 Tbs. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
2 green peppers, cut into 1" pieces
2 Tbs. cornstarch
1/4 c. cold water
2 tomatoes, cut into eighths
3-4 c. cooked rice

1. Grease pan; brown meat thoroughly; season
with salt; add onion; stir in broth, soy sauce
and garlic. Cover; simmer 10 min. or until meat
is tender. Add green peppers. Cover; simmer
5 min.
2. Blend cornstarch and water; stir into meat
mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture
thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 min. Add
tomatoes; heat through.
3. Serve over rice.
