1-1/2 lbs ground beef
1 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped celery
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cans (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes (seasoned)
1 can of mushroom soup
2-1/2 c of water
3/4 c of barley
1 can of peas or 2 cups of green beans

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, celery, onion and spices.
Add tomatoes, soup, water and barley.
Cover and bake at 375º for 1-1/2 hours or until barley is tender.
Add the peas or beans toward end of baking time.
