3 1/2 C. flour
2 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2/3 C. shortening
4 eggs well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 C. Banana's (mashed)
1 C. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt.
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, beat well. Add flour mixture alternate with bananas. Add nuts and mix well. Put into greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Bake in pre heated oven at 350º for about 1 hour, or when toothpick inserted in middle of loaf comes out clean
