1 c. Scalded milk (cooled)
1/2 c. Shortening ( add to milk)
1/4 c. Sugar ( add to milk)
1/4 c. Warm water
1 Package yeast (dissolve in warm water)
1/3 lb. Butter
2 1/2 c. Brown sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp.Vanilla
1 Egg
3 1/4 c. Flour

In a mixing bowl add cooled scalded milk, shortening, sugar and the warm water yeast. Add 2 C. flour and mix very well with a beater and then add 1 1/4 C. flour. Beat until looks like satin. Let rise for 1 hour. Knead, let rise again 1 hour. Roll out on a board. Melt butter stir in sugar, until it spreads on the dough sprinkle cinnamon
