Water
1 Ham Bone or Ham pieces
1 sm Onion
1 tbl Salt
1 tbl Pepper
3-4 strips Bacon

Directions:
Clean beans. Cook beans slow w/ onion, ham bone, salt and pepper. Cook until juice thickens. Fry bacon. Mix bacon w/ drippings into beans.

If you cooked a whole ham you can use the following:

1. Slices for sandwiches, breakfast, etc.
2. Chopped for scalloped potatoes.
3. Chips for pea soup or ham salad.
4. Scrappy pieces for beans.
