2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 egg
milk
1 cup crushed corn flakes
sliced apples
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup powered sugar
1 tsp water
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Step 1 - Combine with fork 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 cup shortening. To 1 egg yolk, add enough milk to make 2/3 cup. (Save the egg white for later.) Slowly add to flour mixture. Divide into 2 parts.
Step 2 - Roll out half of dough between floured waxed paper. Place in 10 X 15 baking pan. Sprinkle 1 cup crushed corn flakes over bottom crust. Add sliced apples. Sprinkle with 1 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Roll out the other half of crust. Seal the edges. Cut slits in top crust. Brush with 1 beaten egg white.
Step 3 - Bake at 400 degrees for 50-60 min. While still warm drizzle with 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp water, and 1/2 tsp vanilla.
