1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
1 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa

Step 1 - With electric mixer, cream together 1 cup margarine and 2 cups sugar. Add 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 tsp salt. Dissolve 2 tsp soda in 1 cup buttermilk and add to above ingredients.
Step 2 - Combine 2 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 cup cocoa. Add to other ingredients with mixer. Add 1 cup of boiling water and beat well.
Step 3 - Bake in 9X13 pan at 350F for 40-50 mins.
