1 - 1 1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey or a mixture of both, browned and drained,

1 large onion, coarsely chopped,

1 clove garlic, minced or put through press,

15 oz. cans of light red kidney beans, dark kidney beans, black beans & I also add some chick peas & some lima beans if I have them,

15 oz. can of diced tomatoes - I like petite diced,

1 jar of chili sauce,

chili powder, about 1 tablespoon

Heat all of the above ingredients. Add the magic ingredient of 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Simmer 1 hour and taste - correct seasoning. Can easily
be doubled or tripled - freezes well. Be creative and add ingredients your family likes!
