Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 large onions, finely copped, sauteed in oil until translucent
1 1/2 pounds pork cubes or hocks - I use pork steaks
1/2 pound beef cubes
3 tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sweet paprika
2 pounds sauerkraut which has been well washed in warm water
2 cups warm water
2 bay leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Cook all ingredients through paprika until meat is half done, (one to two hours depending on cuts of meat used). I generally just saute for a while. Add sauerkraut, water and bay leaves. Bake at 275º to 300º stirring occasionally until tender (1 to 2 hours). Just before serving add 1 cup sour cream. Do not boil.
Serve with boiled or mashed potatoes. May be prepared as much as a week ahead.

This recipe came from the Rochester Post Bulletin. It had sauerkraut in it and Kerry loves sauerkraut. Michelle loved this growing up
