3 cans or 2 packages frozen green beans
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can Durkee's French Fried Onion Rings
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
If using canned beans, drain beans and place in bowl, add salt and pepper to taste. If using frozen beans, cook in salted water and drain. Mix mushroom soup with about 1/2 C. milk and stir until smooth. Add to bean mixture and mix well. Gently stir in 1/2 of the can of the french fried onion rings with beans. Put in lightly greased casserole dish and place remaining 1/2 can of onion rings on top. Bake at 350 for about 25 to 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

June used to like to add sliced water chestnuts to this as well. I thought we should include this recipe in our book for our future generations of the family. This recipe was a 1950s staple and is still a very popular dish.
