1 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
1 egg
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1 c canned applesauce
1 tsp baking soda
1 c raisins
1 c ready to eat cereal

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together, sugar and shortening; add beaten egg. Stir in flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Combine applesauce with baking soda. Blend the wet and dry ingredients; fold in raisins and cereal. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
