Single Pie Crust - unbaked

3/4 C sugar
2 T flour
3/4 t salt
3/4 t cinnamon
1 8 oz sour cream
1 beaten egg
1/2 t vanilla
5 1/2 C sliced, peeled, cooking apples
1/2 C flour
1/2 C brown sugar
3 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
In medium bowl, stir together the sugar, 2 T flour, salt and cinnamon. Add the sour cream, egg and vanilla. Stir to combine.

Place apples in pastry lined pie plate. Pour filling over apples.

For crumb topping combine: 1/2 C flour and brown sugar. Use a pastry blender and cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Spoon over the filling.

Cover edges with foil.

Bake at º375 for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 35-40 minutes until apples are tender to knife.

Remove and cool on wire rack. Serve room temperature. Store covered in refrigerator.
